- Members will experience quite a bit of convenience as they will have to keep only one card to transact business with SSNIT. The Ghana Card will now be your SSNIT card.
- It will also result in some savings as the cost of printing the SSNIT Biometric cards will be eliminated.
- It is a legal requirement. Regulation 7of the National Identity Register Regulations, 2012, L.I. 2111, requires the use of the Ghana Card for “transactions pertaining to individuals in respect of pension” and “transactions that have social security implications”
- It is also a directive from the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA)
