The SSNIT Ladies Club has presented baskets of items worth GH¢7,000 to 14 mothers of pre-term babies at the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

The items include blankets, diapers, towels, wipes, hats, washing powder, soaps, sanitisers, nose masks, powdered milk, rice, toothpaste and reusable bags.

The President of the Ladies Club, Mrs Victoria Abaidoo, said the club had always sought ways to support orphans and the vulnerable in society.

Mrs Abaidoo said that after winning the Most Outstanding Women’s Network in Ghana in September, 2022 the Ladies Club decided to intensify its charitable activities by among other things, donating to help the mothers of pre-term babies at the NICU of the Korle bu Teaching Hospital.
